We Are Hiring

CARE MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a passionate Care Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading our domiciliary care service and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for all service users. You will coordinate staff, oversee day-to-day operations and help us meet all regulatory and company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan day-to-day shift patterns, allocate and schedule work for care workers and accept new service users.
  • Supervise and support senior care workers and field-based care staff, including carrying out supervisions, appraisals and team meetings.
  • Work with Social Services and other health and social care professionals to meet service users’ needs. Ensure all visits are completed and care tasks delivered in line with individual care plans, investigating any failures and preventing recurrence.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, concerns and feedback about the service.
  • Support recruitment and selection of staff to meet service needs.
  • Organise staff induction, ongoing training and day-to-day supervision in line with company policy.
  • Step in and deliver hands-on care where required, for example in the event of staff shortages.
  • Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota and respond to day-to-day operational issues.
  • Write and maintain accurate care plans, visit notes and company records, and contribute to audits and quality monitoring.
  • Arrange and attend service user reviews, updating documentation in the service user’s home and the office.
  • Ensure needs assessments and risk assessments (including moving and handling and other activities) are completed and regularly reviewed, with plans in place to minimise risk.
  • Comply with all company policies, health and safety requirements and all relevant domiciliary care legislation and regulations.
  • Safeguard service users by reporting any concerns or abusive practices immediately and following local procedures.
  • Maintain service users’ privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times. Support the maintenance of the company care-management information system.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the purpose of the post
